First Meeting

I met Avie a few years ago, but it feels like it's been forever.

I had just moved from Endopolis to Nearsmore... And at the time, I had no connections in town.

But one day, when I was waiting at a bus stop alone in the rain... She came towards me, sprinting and double-jumping and bouncing down the sidewalk.

I froze up and dropped my umbrella, but she gracefully slid by me and caught it in midair. And without a word, she pointed it at me like it was a sword-- with the dramatic pose of a warrior about to deal the final blow.

I was awestruck, struggling to process that completely unnecessary series of motions...

But I must've been staring for a while, because I was starting to feel gross and wet, and also she gestured impatiently for me to just take the umbrella. I did, and she dashed away just as quickly as she arrived.

I dont think she realizes how cool she is...
